Both shops are open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm, and Saturdays 9.30am - 4.00pm. Both shops are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

As a charity, Woodlands relies heavily on donations and fundraising and the Friends of Woodlands – through the ever-popular Charity Shop – contribute greatly to the ongoing improvement of Woodlands’ facilities.
Woodlands Charity Shops
Our first Charity Shop was set up by a group of volunteers at 273 Melrosegate York in 1996 to provide funds to support work carried out at the Respite Care Centre. In 2005 this shop doubled in size to take account of the vast quantities of donated items it receives each week. Following this success, our second shop opened in March 2007 - located at 31 Bishopthorpe Road.
Where are we? 
Our larger shop is located at 271-273 Melrosegate on the parade of shops at the crossroads with the Hull Road (A1079). We are next to the chemist. Parking is available to the rear of the shop - the first 15 minutes are free, with charges thereafter at 50p for 2 hours. 
Our second shop is located at 31 Bishopthorpe Road. Free parking for 1 hour is available in alloted spaces on St Benedicts Road (to the rear of the shop). Alternatively, Bishopthorpe Road car park is adjacent to the parade of shops and the charge is 20p per hour.
