As a charity, Woodlands relies heavily on donations and fundraising and the Friends of Woodlands - through the ever-popular Charity Shop - contribute greatly to the on-going improvement of Woodlands' facilities.

In-House Activities
For many of our guests, the social activities we offer are the highlight of their stay.
With the help of our volunteers, we are able to offer a full and varied programme of activities, including games, quizzes and discussions.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
· Create a friendly and social atmosphere
· Set up games, quizzes or discussions
· Support guests in in-house activities
· Adhere to policies and procedures
Skills required
· Good listening and communication skills
· Ability to motivate and enthuse others
· Good organisational skills
Anticipated Commitment
· The desirable volunteer commitment is between 6 – 8 hours per month
· This position is available 7 days a week
· Additional opportunities are available if wanted
Training
· Induction session
· Shadowing session with staff members
· Volunteers are expected to attend annual on going training
