As a charity, Woodlands relies heavily on donations and fundraising and the Friends of Woodlands - through the ever-popular Charity Shop - contribute greatly to the on-going improvement of Woodlands' facilities.

Driving one of our vehicles

Drivers need to hold a full driving licence, and be aged between 25 and 65.

Trips are run from Monday to Friday and are usually during the day, but there are some evening and weekend trips if drivers are available.

Volunteers to drive our Guests to church on Sundays are also welcomed.



Skills
· Good listening and communication skills
· Minimum of 5 years current driving experience with valid UK Full driving licence
· Ability to work in a team
· Good organisational skills
· Practical and thorough knowledge of Highway code


Personal Qualities
· Dependable and trustworthy
· Conscientious
· Friendly and responsible


Anticipated Commitment
· The desirable volunteer commitment is between 3 - 6 hours per week during weekdays
· Alternative opportunities are available if you would like to do more or fewer hours each week


Training
· Induction session plus structured MiDAS theory and practical training sessions
· On site training shadowing existing volunteers and staff
· Volunteers are expected to attend annual on going training advertised through In Touch and MiDAS refresher sessions
