Great North Run - Sunday 20 September 2009
Money is still trickling in for this event - at the last count we had just over £7,000 but we should easily exceed £10,000 once all the money is collected, and the Gift Aid is recovered.
Bonfire Night at York Maze - Thursday 5 November
A massive THANKS to all who helped at this event. We raised a very creditable £277 on the night and our guests had a fantastic time! The owners of York Maze didn't charge any of our guests or volunteers, nor did they require any money for us attending to fundraise. THANK YOU VERY MUCH MR PEARCY AND FAMILY!
Charity Ball, Royal York Hotel - Saturday 7 November
What a night! Thank you to all the volunteers who attended on the night and helped with the arrangements in the run up to the event. We raised just over £2,500 which we are absolutely delighted with! It is the first time we have ever run such an event and such was its success that we have booked the same date for this year - Saturday 6 November! Make a note in your diary!
Sainsburys Bag Packing - Sunday 22 November
Woodlands' volunteers pitched in at the checkouts and raised an amazing £301.98 in just two hours of bag packing!!
Casino & Auction Night - Saturday 28 November
Another successful evening hosted by the staff at the Black Bull. We are so grateful to the Black Bull for their continued support - an amazing £337 was raised on the night.
Mr Swings Christmas Balls - Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December
A special thanks to Matthew Hardy of Mr Swing's Band who support Woodlands every year by allowing us to raise money at their Christmas Balls. A fabulous £1,044.10 was raised from the two nights' fundraising activities.
