As a charity, Woodlands relies heavily on donations and fund raising, and the Friends of Woodlands - through the ever-popular Charity Shop - contribute greatly to the ongoing improvement of Woodlands' facilities.
How much will it cost?
Fee levels are dependent on individual care needs as follows:
* Moderate - £790 per week
* High - £910 per week
* Total - £1,060 per week
In some cases, a higher fee may be negotiated where a Guest has very complex needs and high staff input is required.
Guests who do not have Multiple Sclerosis may be accommodated if availability allows, and after consultation with the Clinical Services Manager. Charges for non-MS Guests do not include the MS Society subsidy, and are therefore £1,300 per week.
Individual care needs are assessed at each visit by qualified nursing staff using the MS Society’s dependency criteria to identify a Guest's banding. New Guests, or those who have not been assessed under the updated criteria, will be charged at the high banding level (£910 per week) for the first visit. Guests are notified in writing of their assessed banding following their stay, and subsequent visits charged accordingly.
The allocated banding will normally apply for the full financial year - regardless of changing needs. In these circumstances, refunds will not be made, nor will additional charges be incurred. However, in exceptional circumstances where there is evidence of a dramatic and sustained change in dependency, we reserve the right to revise the fee banding. Such revision will be notified in writing a minimum of 28 days in advance of the stay.
